Program Facts:

The United States Department of Education TRiO Programs helps students overcome, class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.

Purpose: To provide low-income, potential first generation college students with programs and services that will allow them to better understand and pursue educational opportunities and options and to be competitive in their quest for post-secondary education and beyond.

Target Schools:

Middle Schools: Bret Harte, Henry Clay, Gompers, Washington, Preparatory & Locke High School Educational Talent Search program provides academic support and educational services for those who are low-income and / or first-generation potential college students. In addition to those students Re-entering into a high school or GED Program. The age limitations are from 11-27.

The following available services and activities will help eligible TS students to overcome educational, cultural, and social challenges, while striving to obtain admissions into a post-secondary educational program.
