Program Description

This campus-based early detection system is intended to provide an effective intervention process to assist students with the following challenges:

  1. Successful course completion
  2. Within-term retention
  3. Term-to-term persistence

The need to address these issues is two-fold—student engagement and success. An engaged student is more likely to have a successful educational experience. Students and faculty must be empowered with the necessary tools to support student success. Students who are successful are more likely to persist from term-to-term and complete their educational goals.

PROGRAM GOALS

  • Successful creation of an effective model for within-term student-support
  • Increase within-term retention rates
  • Increase successful course completion rates
  • Improve overall student engagement and completion of educational goals, thereby promoting a “Culture of Success”
  • Increase student interaction with other students, faculty and staff, while accomplishing student educational goals
  • Empower students, faculty, and staff who together consider themselves an integral part of student success
